Expanish is one of the most innovative Spanish immersion programs in Latin America: students do not just take classes, they actually live and breathe the South American culture. Located in five culturally distinct South American cities (Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Ushuaia, Santiago, Quito) our unconventional approach to studying abroad combines university and Spanish immersion courses with exceptional cultural experiences and local accommodation resulting in a well-rounded educational program tailored to each student’s strengths. Expanish offers an extracurricular component to every course of study consisting of skill workshops, weekend excursions, and daily activities with local inhabitants that take the experience of learning Spanish into a new dimension.
We offer a wide range of flexible programs that vary anywhere in length from 2 weeks to a year abroad, giving students of all ages numerous options for their experience in South America.

GENERAL SPANISH IMMERSION: Students of all ages can study the Spanish language for a customized period of time in any Expanish program location: Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Ushuaia, Santiago, Quito, or any combination of cities. Our courses can be tailored to each student’s language goals though individual and/or small group classes focusing on the areas of grammar, fluency, vocabulary, DELE preparation or customized content.
UNIVERSITY SEMESTERS & QUARTERS: In our Semester & Quarter Programs, students can focus on Spanish language acquisition and/or take courses in their specific areas of university study at the Universidad de Belgrano (UB). Classes range from biology and sociology to business, interior design, and every subject in between.
UNIVERSITY SUMMER PROGRAMS: Expanish provides one of the few study abroad programs in Buenos Aires that offers classes in a variety of thematic subjects during the summer months of the northern hemisphere. Students can focus solely on intensive Spanish language acquisition, or split their time between Spanish and courses related to their specific areas of interest at the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE).
UNIVERSITY J-TERM & MAY SESSIONS: For university students who wish to study in Buenos Aires for a shorter period of time, Expanish offers specialty sessions twice a year. Students can focus on intensive Spanish language acquisition on either our 2-week program or our 4-week program during their January Term or May Session (Maymester).
